Môrelig Vineyards is situated on the foot of the Paardeberg Mountain in the Swartland area of the Western Cape, South Africa. The vineyards comprise of dryland vines grown in decomposed granite soils . There are 6 different cultivars covering 24 hectares with the oldest block planted in 1965.
The farm was purchased by the Wightman family in 2011 as a new venture and has proved to be an exciting journey with our first vintage being launched in 2015. Our wines are made naturally using grapes grown sustainably. Our philosophy is to keep it simple and to make great wine that starts in the vineyards. We are members of the Swartland Independent Producers.
